The legendary DEBUG program is to be removed in Windows 7, after 28 years. One of the oldest Microsoft programs used for crashing the computer.

Back in the day typing dC800:5 in DEBUG to access the low level formatter on the 10Mb (yes Mega byte) 8-bit MFM (or RLL) hard disk you just slotted into one of the ISA slots of the plastic Amstrad PC-1512 CGA PC.

Those were the days. Computers were hard back then, you really did need a beard.

Nah mate, computers were easy back then! None of this new-fangled networks, gigabytes of disk and RAM to waste, GUIs and stuff - you wrote your application and it had control of the computer!

Tell me why my application has to pass control to the operating system?? grrrrr!
