One pence, if you use liquid petroleum gas or electricity and you apply for a permit from the council, to park in any council car park, they want to encourage "Green", to cut down on harmfull carbon emissions in the City centre.

It's quicker to walk to town than to the nearest tram stop for me.

Ok then where's the nearest park and ride site to woodseats.

Wasn't aimed at you Muddy, just in general as another place to park. There is no P&R that serves Woodseats

I'm sorry I sounded a bit short with you there. Yes I have very little opportunity to use the supertram. Although we are extremely well served with busses, at £1.30 to town. And If it's nice I do walk to town sometimes, it takes around 35m to 45m depending on how fast I walk, from far end of woodseats [near the Abbey Pub]

Does this include any marked areas on the roads that say 'solo m/cycles only' ?

I was looking for somewhere to park the bike the other day in town, and wasn't sure, and it doesn't say anything on the pay & display machines located nearby (for the car parking slots)

I ended up going round in a full circle around Cross Burgess St > Furnival Gate > Pinstone St Just to try and get to the P&D Car Park I could see across the road, but not get to.

I won't be going into the city centre again if I can help it

congratulations sheffield council on creating such an imaginitive road lay-out, i'm sure your also helping towards the lower emmisions we all strive for, making road users travel 5 mile to get 10 yards

Yes the "solo motorcycles only" places are all free. However, I only park mine somewhere where I can put the chain lock around something very solid.
The council has started putting ground anchors for the use of motorcycle chain locks, and the most convenient one I have found so far is behind the red Fire Station HQ on Rockingham street/division lane.. But I'll bet that there are some more which I haven't found...

Does anyone know if this is actually true?
