Seen 5 minutes ago, a dark brindle greyhound wearing a broad brown leather collar, crossing South Road, Walkley and heading down the road that leads towards Rivelin.
At the moment is not bearing any injuries, but is not stopping to look for traffic either, so if it's yours I'd get down there pronto.
I take it you notified the dog warden?
Dog warden won't do anything if the dog is on the move - they can only catch a dog that's not moving apparently... been there done that.
I suppose it may be worthwhile telling them in case they're asked by the owner if it's been reported but whether they'll pass the message on or not is a different story...
Sorry do I sound negative?
It wasn't me who saw it to be honest- I'm placed the thread by proxy for someone who had to emergency stop to miss the dog.
I'll let the wardens know, but I don't assume that they'll come out and try to catch it- greyhounds aren't exactly the slowest of dogs are they?
EDIT- they refuse to even take the details unless you have the dog and can keep it in one place for them to come and collect.
Totally Useless
Not you, medusa
