Anyone out there who remembers the head Walter Humpstone? He used to walk round school with his batman cape on! I left in 1969. Can remember Vanessa Armitage, Linda Cheetham, Sylvia Hawley, Sylvia Gunnell, Shirley Bilton. Alan Walker Lorna Wragg, Margaret Dick, can anyone else remember any of them. Maureen.

I think my sister left around 1968 - Sharon Cusworth. Also Marie would have left a couple of years before.

Hi Mark
Sorry I do not remember you. It was a long time ago. And as far as I remember I did not have that many friends at the school. So if you could tell me more about yourself I may remember. Like I said I now live in Sydney Australia. Have been living here for 14 years and before that I worked and lived in Switzerland.
So let us what you’re up to
John:D

I do recall that you were a bit of a loner John. However you were a nice lad.
Did you not at some time or other also work at Fletchers Bakery as did I. I seem to recall that you did!
I lived on Foxhill Road and whist having many mates was not part of the incrowd so to speak!

How is life in Syndey? A far cry from Sheffield I bet.

I left Chaucer in 68 but don't recall the names quoted except for Sharon Cusworth I do remember her. I remember Mr Humpstone and his walking around in a cloak. Does anyone remember the teacher whose son unfortunately died of leukaemia.

Does anyone remember Rita Ransom, Rita Rhodes, Hazel Betts, Sue Bentley, Julie Elliott, Beverley Batty, Elaine Heeley, Mary McDonald, David Wood, John Bryer, Linda France, Dilys Gannon, John Hudson? These are the only names I can remember off hand. I am sure there are others I know but the names don't spring to mind.

The teachers I remember are: Mr Hoyland, Miss Robinson, Mr Plant, Mr Newham, Miss Searle, Mr Cornthwaite, I have been racking my brain trying to remember the teacher who taught cookery classes but it just won't come to mind - maybe someone out there can remember?

Yes; I remember Rita Ransom; I also new her brothers. I took Elaine Heeley out a couple of times; went to the speedway. Do you recall Steve Searle, who would have also been in your year? I still see him.

Hi Smileyjiver. I'll have a look at my messages. The answer is no; but I hung around up there quite a lot, as I courted Janet Smythe, who lived on Wallace Road and my mate, Steve Searle, lived on Douglas Road. I used to frequent The Douglas, The Parkwood and The Farfield.

No PM message I'm afriad. Would you like to try again?

Have sent another PM - hope you receive it this time.

I lived at Parkwood Spring on Pickering Road from I think it was 61 to 65.

I remember starting at Chaucer and travelling on the bus from the Springs before we moved to Norfolk Park.
