Does anyone know the rules regarding travelling with pets on public transport in Sheffield?

I know that dogs are allowed on First and Stagecoach buses but what is the situation with cats in a proper cat carrier? What are the rules for cats or dogs for the tram?

Thanks.

I believe only assistance dogs are allowed on trams.
As for cats in a cat carrier i wouldn't see why not but am guessing.

You can take cats in a carrier on any bus, you can also take cats/dogs on the tram if they are in a carrier but not on the lead, carried etc.

I know it's mad isn't it? I know about it because for some reason that I now don't remember I needed to take a dog on the tram, I rang to ask and that is what they told me.
