Rolo (who is rather overweight - however, if he continues at the rate he's going on his wheel he'll soon be a slender, toned, hunk of a hammy!)

Rocky (who had a rather nasty accident the other day which involved me finding him hanging by his foot - however, thankfully he didn't break his leg and only a day later you can barely tell which foot it was and he's showing no signs of previous injury at all!)

Rocky absolutely loves the hamster ball (haven't tried Rolo with it yet) and they love their wheels. I'm going to try and get better photos of them tonight once the dogs have gone to bed but am currently trying to keep Takara away from Rocky's cage as she's showing just a bit too much interest and Rocky is purposely winding her up!

We used to call the hamster cage dog TV!! they look lovely Lottie i miss having a little hammy, enjoy them x

Thanks Adz. Am currently working on Rocky's dangerous bar chewing habit - probably started through boredom because when we took them on neither had anything to play with in their cage.

I don't want to move him to a plastic tank cage because he loves to climb but it could still happen...

Rolo is actually really fat but since we gave him a wheel he's not been out of it so I think he should lose it pretty quick! Rocky is always on the go and has bars to climb (whereas Rolo's in a plastic tank type cage) so I think that's how he doesn't put any weight on.

They're settling in better now. They'll happily step onto my hand now and don't chatter at me when I go near the cages!

I bought them a hamster ball and was dubious as to whether they'd use it as I know a lot don't like them. These love it! Rocky's not the smartest and I have to keep retrieving him from corners but all in all he's a very happy hammy!

Went into see them this morning before work and Rocky was asleep in his wheel :rolleyes: Rolo was in bed - as per usual :lol:

I'm amazed by how much they come to life in the evenings though - last night Rolo was on his wheel non stop for a good 3 or 4 hours!

Never had hammies before... it's certainly an experience!

Rolo's quite cuddly whereas Rocky's a bit more 'let's go go go!' that said he gave me a kiss earlier :D
