Anyone one contemplating going by car? I am ... but of course this is not a circular walk. What I am thinking of doing is parking in the rail station at Hope and catching the train from there to Edale. I was wondering if anybody who is planning to park in Castleton could give me a lift to Hope rail station at the end of the walk/meal? Quid pro quo: I could pick you up in Castleton and give you a lift to Hope rail station in the morning.

Any takers?

Cheers,
Rob.

I do not know whether this has any effect on anybody's travel plans but ...

Winnats pass is currently closed due to roadworks.

Cheers,
Rob.

I'm up for this,
I'd probably get lost on the bike, so i'll be catching the train.
See you all there.

Ermm, on behalf of the SF Walking Group, can I say good luck for this walk, and what a great pity it wasn't arranged for day before when we ourselves are doing a circular Hope/Castleton/Hope walk, and could have arranged to meet you somewhere en route!
Once again, hope you have a good day.

Bad luck on the weather today. At least a couple of your members got to come on the walk yesterday though.

They've probably been traumatised though :)

Bad weather? Isn't that half the fun of a day-long hike around the peaks?

Bad weather? Must be different down in Edale today than where I live - only twenty minutes away, all we've had is that misty rain where you can hardly tell its raining at all.

At least one forum walk got good weather for a walk in that area this weekend, any of your member's are more than welcome on a Sheffield Forum walkers walk.

Bad weather? :suspect: Shame you didn't get out as the rain was not that bad. It rained for short period and then stopped. The weather, by walking standards, was pretty good with great visability so there was really nothing to fear by going on the walk.

Oh well, hope you rearrange soon or go along to one of the forum walkers treks.
