In all the years the snooker has been at the Crucible I have never seen anyone in the crowd that I know.Every year I look out for familiar faces but never see any.So have you.Friends, neighbours, old school friends or work colleagues -anyone will do.Better still, have you ever seen anybody I know?Oh,and while we're at it,why do so many people go to the snooker wearing football shirts?Weird!

Ive seen the rather ugly looking young man with messy dark hair and a scruffy look- medium/large build.

He must have been to almost every session and every match at the crucible this year so far!

He always sits right near the front row and the camera always seems to show him...

He must surely be camping outsidr The Crucible or a snooker geek who has money to burn?

Does anyone know who i mean?

My friend reckons he can get a screen capture of the man in question so as soon i have it i will post it here!>>>>>>>>

Sorry if its you and your on SF lmao!

For the first several years at the Crucible the same bloke used to have the same seat for every session, every year.Front row,on the divide between the two tables. But I don't know who he was either!

A few years ago my grandma used to go to watch the snooker. I saw her in the crowd once and her false teeth fell out just as the camera pointed at her!

In the 80's there used to be this dull ginger haired chap sat right at the front who was often interviewed after the final - never liked him...

I remember Ken and Joan, same seat every year. Used to see them in the New Inn near the water tower, early 90's maybe.

Some years ago, I was at a first round match and was sat near the front. I think it was a morning session. In the afternoon, I put the tv on to catch up with play etc, and the first match to be shown was the one I'd seen that morning. My mum and dad were watching the tv as well, and when the camera panned round I spotted myself and said to my mum, "look you really can be in 2 places at once"

1. Theres a bloke (blades fan I think), who was often sat near to the players chairs (on the right side of the arena). He was there for the first week. Looks a bit like Sean Bean but with shorter hair. I call him 'Beany':hihi:

2. Big bloke with big hair, often sat on the left hand side of the arena behind the advertising board. Saw him again last night but in a different seat

3. Oldish fella (50's??), shiny blond, swept back hair, glasses, always sits with his hands pressed onto his knees.

Its always great to see the regulars every year!!

Wow that's a flash from the past - Ken Renwick - I think he went to every match from when it started at the Crucible in the 70's. I think even the commentators mentioned him as well.

I saw myself and a mate on the tv if that counts:D we had seats on the third row at the baulk end of the table, so we ended up being in camera shot quite a bit, which is unlucky seeing as i have a face for the radio.

You do see alot of the same faces in the crowd everyday, alot are people who live out of Sheffield and come up for the entire 17 days.

A few years ago I was studying at Uni and had a lecture cancelled by way of a not stuck to the door of the lecture theatre, damned annoying as it was the only lecture that day and I had made the effort to be there.
Anyway, traipsed off home in the rain and popped the telly on only to see my lecturer in the front row grinning like a cheshire cat!
