I have a PC running XP.
I am trying to connect a Belkin Wireless ADSL router.
I follow all the correct setup instructions but for some reason sometimes the network connection states there is Limited or No Connectivity.

I have asked somebody and have been suggested to do the following:

I have disabled all firewalls and security.
All equipment/leads are in full working order.
I have run cmd and ping the router and it has replied.
Used an IP address instead of obtain automatically.

I have no idea why this is happening?

Please help!!

I had the same issue on a clients PC, it turn out that Norton Internet Security was the problem, I disabled it and all worked well. I think Norton is a heep of sh... anyway, so once I had proven the theory, I removed Norton alltogether and put AVG on.

There should be no need to specify an IP address, the router will do that for you. If you can get a wired connection, I am able to remote control your PC and could take a look at the settings for you.

Where are you?

Dan

Give me a shout if you need any further help.

What ISP is the OP on? If it's AOhell, then they're crap anyway and I'm not surprised at the technical issues.
