Hello,

Im looking to join a band. Ive been playing since 2003 years on and off (mostly off!).

im hoping to find a band thats still starting off, only just been formed. I can commit to one practice a fortnight, that may increase to once a week but that will have to wait and see, and dependant on the band.

I currently dont have any equipment aside my sticks, so have to practice where equipement is available, i.e the attic/yellowarch etc.

Im into everything but hoping to form a thrice/a change of pace/ funeral for a friend/ taking back sunday/ the automatic type sound etc. Some good strong vocals, with blinding guitar riffs type stuff. Got gig and band experience and band/gig promotion experience

You can reply if ill be any good, im based in sheffield, dont drive but can use public transport :P

Thanks :)

Something fun,

currently into thrice and funeral for a friend alot but my music taste is extremely varied. Something with a rock/pop edge that delves into the metal side of things ( And avoids metalica prefreablly like the plaque, but a barge pole will do). Maybe some screamo vocals, growly vocals, dont dig the while pig vocal thing though...I like melodic voice overlays with a good strong frontman/women with some harmonised backing vocals from other band members. (Not me as i cant/dont sing!)

Dont really do covers so all original stuff if possible ( although the one off cover to play together is understandable). I can play escape artists never die - FFAF, Stare at the Sun - Thrice <--although never played it with a band, The Reason - Hoobastank. Having practiced on and off for several years, i like to stick to 4/4 timing, can be foreced to play some 3/4 but thats my limit. Im no lars ulrich, im just mike!

Well we are looking at the style of bands like ; "A day to remember", "You me at six" and "We are ocean" stuff, which is like singy screamo stuff. We have only just started out, so are starting with covers in order to get used to playing together etc. But soon will be writing our own stuff. At the minute we are between the ages 16 - 19. Practice will be on thursday afternoons although could probably be negotiated.
Let me know if ya interested.

btw we will be looking to gig by febuary.

hey,

well as i dont have my own kit it would be a practice room job. On top of that i work mon-fri 9-5, sometimes a bit later so thursday practices are no good for me.

Let me know if thats do-able, if not no worries, and good look finding a drummer :)

I'll pop in here and add from seeing his last band that Mike's a good drummer, so if you need one of those drumming types, I can definitely recommend him!
