So yeh, I seem to be having a problem that no sound is coming out of my PC, I've had the speakers on full blast all night, have checked the volume and other settings in accessories and everything seems to be in order there..

How come me sound isn't on?!

Are you sure you haven't blown the speakers? If they're #9.99 jobbies from PC World, then it is likely that they may be, as it doesn't take alot from them to blow; however, if they are 30 quid jobbies, then they take quite a bit more before they blow.

Have you:

1) Checked that the sound isn't muted the computer's end?
2) Checked they are switched on at the speaker's end?

So yeah?

try rebooting....works mostly when theres a temporary problem with the sound

D'oh.. Just checked, and the bloomin' speakers weren't switched on at the mains :loopy:

Have you kicked the plug out inadvertantly?

I think Rich is having a generally bad day, what with rewinding 23 days back into the past, and accidentally forgetting to switch his mains plug on for the speakers constitutes for a rather interesting day.
