Hi I'm thinking of buying a flat in Nether Edge/Brincliffe/Kenwood area. Already know what it's like to live in the Nether Edge hospital complex and on Kenwood Road (Strata), but would welcome views on any of these:
Chestnut Court (Union Road opposite hospital)
St Andrews Plaza (St Andrew's Road/Cherry Tree Road)
Monarch's Gate (St Andrew's Road)
Quarry Lodge (Brincliffe, top of Chelsea Road)
Sycamore Court (close by)
Cheers!

We live quite close to some of these flats and my observations would be:
Chestnut Court - built by the infamous Merlin Estates, they looked quite nice when they were first finished but some of the fittings were poor quality. Parking seems good. Not sure if I would want one at the front opposite the bus stop, bit noisy at times and the automatic gates to the old Hospital Development clanging away all night. They seem to to be available in batches if you know what I mean, no boards then a forest of them. Not usually for sale that long though.
Monarchs Gate - seem quite quiet, the flats at the rear get the sun. Rarely for sale but this maybe because a lot are let out. Is parking a problem - lots of cars on the road and it's busy during the day with the surgery opposite.
St Andrew Plaza - bit odd looking I think and a lot are let out. Good parking (secure underground). I know someone who lives in one and they like it, they are elderly and deaf!
The two at the top of Chelsea Road I don't know as much about as we don't go past there much, but a resident who came in our shop once was complaining bitterly about the noise from neighbours. I think it was more them coming home late at night in taxis. This was Sycamore Court but I guess you get these problems in most developments.
Good luck
Cheers, thanks very much for the info. A few for sale at the moment but vendors seem to think they are entitled to get their money back (and more) on properties they bought a couple of years ago i.e. when prices were rocketing. Will keep looking!
