There's a thread for it within the Walking Group section. The title is "Sunday Walk 3rd May Hope Valley".

hiya
yup they are open to anyone, best thing to do is just post on any threads with walks that you want to come along, just so we know. we are a friendly group and welcome all new comers. xx
Are these walks open to anyone?
As Eclair says, you are more than welcome to join us on any of our walks. There is no charge, all you have to do is put on the thread that you are coming so that we know to expect you, and then just turn up at the meeting point. If you want a mobile no. in case you're either running late or can't find the meeting point, I'll p.m. you mine.
Look forward to seeing you some time!
Philisan 05-05-2009, 21:49 Could you let me know details of the walk on the 17th please? I've just joined the forum and am finding negotiating the site a bit challenging

The details of the walk on the 17th will be posted about a week beforehand, after the walk on the 10th has been completed. There will be a separate thread about it with start times, meeting place etc.
Just keep an eye on the walking group and you should be OK.

Hi there,
I noticed that you have a meet at the Harlequin, when is the next one as I'd love to join this group,
There is a walk this coming Thursday starting from the Harlequin. Here is a link to the thread. (http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=481301) There is also a monthly meet to organise stuff but this is generally held in a different pub each month, May's was at the Harlequin last week following the aborted rain affected evening walk.

As Taxman says theres a walk starting from there next Thursday, you'd be made most welcome if you do decide to join us. Hopefully we'll see you there.
Agent Orange 27-05-2009, 13:42 What's the plan for the walk this Thursday? No sign of any thread as yet and for those not in the know, like myself, are asking questions. I have no idea where this place is or how to get there :suspect:
Scoobz - you could make those all clicky to the threads

I wasn't aware there was a walk this Thursday, I thought it had been put back to next week (see June Diary)

Yeah, sorry about that, I didn't alter the diary after we cancelled the Parkwood Springs walk and re-scheduled it for the following week, and as a result of doing this, also put the proposed walk for the 28th back a week too.
Having said all that you were there in the Harlequin at the Monthly meeting when we decided to do this. Perhaps you had something distracting you?

Don't know what you mean

Cheers for that. I couldn't hear half of the meeting when I was in Harlequin so it seems I missed that bit.

use the globe icon from the toolbar to add the thread address, then the text to overwrite the hyperlink
There's a calender in the pets group stickies which works that way, so you don't have to go digging to find the threads
it works like this:

Too complicated for me that, I'm not computer literate, switching it on is about my greatest achievment!
