I have taken this from my post on "should Sheffield be part of Derbyshire?".Regarding Sheffields lack of a decent T.I office.
I'm intrested in other peoples thoughts on this , as yet no-one has commented on it, opinions anyone?


"While I'm ranting why is SheffieldTourist Infomation so useless?Is thier another big one I don't know of or is that piddly display in the millenium gardens all they have to offer?
I have travelled alone quite a lot in Europe and have found multi-lingal T.I workers so helpful, for where to go out ,where the nearest campsites out of the city are ,which bus is most reliable,what areas to avoid at night etc..If Sheffield Council and residents want tourists to visit Sheffield,they could at least provide a decent T.I office for them, and for Sheffielders ,or does Sheffield have nothing good enough to want to encourage tourist to experience?It would just be useful to have a list of all the little local festivals that are scattered around the place, that sort of thing, one off carboot sales etc...
O.k rant over appart from, how big is Castleton compared to Sheffield? Now check out the T.I offices, and thiers another in Edale just over the hill!"
