View Full Version : Computer repairs, where's a good but cheap place?
Hello,
My computer has corrupted and I think Windows need to be re-installed in order to get it working. I've had a quote which I thought was too expensive so wondered whether anyone knew of anywhere good that is reasonably priced, also needs to be in the Sheffield area, S20 area even better.
if you have the windows disk on you it easy to do it yourself and its free
just pop it in the computer and reboot. it pretty much tells you what to do. just try a repair
That's the problem, the guy that originally set my computer up didn't leave the disk so I'm stuck otherwise I would have given it a go. Unfortunately I'm now going to have to pay to get it sorted, just struggling as to where to go.
I'll do it for you, copy an data off your existing disk you need, format, and reinstall, and I live in S20. Wang me an email to sales(at)linuxmod.co.uk and I'll give you a (cheap) price.

You never know might help someone :0)
Thanks to everyone who tried to help me with my computer crash.
Markwit of Meerkat Computers is sorting it out.
Happy Days
Once it's sorted, get hold of a copy of Norton Ghost and take an ghost image of your hard drive - then next time you need to reinstall, you can revert it back to as it was, clean and fresh, but with all the stuff you need already installed and configured
cha00kaw 11-07-2005, 17:53 Just out of interest, how much have they quoted for the repairs? I'm having some trouble myself:

I dident charge her anything for the repairs as it was only a minor fault, but she insited on giving me some money, which thus got donated to the Live8 cause.
