Police in Sheffield are appealing for information following an assault on Thursday 30 June 2005, which left a 24 year old man with serious injuries.
The incident occurred between 11:15pm and midnight, on Holme Lane, Hillsborough. The 24 year old man, who is from the Deepcar area, was with a group of friends who had just been to the "Pizza & Co" takeaway.
He was approached by a man thought to be around 19 years of age, and was apparently attacked, leaving him with a broken left leg, a swollen lip, bruising and grazes. He cannot recall the incident and is currently being treated at the Northern General Hospital.
The man who approached him is described as white, around 19 years old, 6? tall, with short mousey brown hair, which was shorter at the sides and combed forward. He was wearing a beige lightweight pullover and dark blue jeans.
The area was busy at the time, with many people leaving the Blue Ball Pub and takeaways on the road. If anyone has any information about the incident they are urged to contact PC Paul Reddick from Ecclesfield's Volume Crime Team, on 0114 2963920.

Police are appealing for information following a report of a suspicious incident at Nanny Hill, Stocksbridge, on Friday 1 July 2005.
At around 1am, a member of the public saw a man being chased by a second man, who was half-naked, down Nanny Hill on to Manchester Road. On seeing the witness the man being chased shouted for help.
The second man then ushered the first into a burgundy Mazda 626 car, before the vehicle drove off towards the city.
Police have at present received no complaints relating to this incident, and encourage anyone who may be able to identify the men, or has any information, to call DC Wayne Godridge on 0114 296 4661.
The man being chased is described as white, in his early 20's, 5'10" tall, of stocky build with short blonde hair gelled into a mohican style. He was wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans.
The second man is also described as white, in his early 20's and 5'10" tall, but of slim build with dark shaven hair. He was wearing black tracksuit bottoms and no top.
