Anyone else into these? They basically cover entire albums in a dub/reggae style. Just got the new one, which is Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. They've also done Dark Side of the Moon and Ok Computer.

I remember Dread Zeppelin though - sounds like that kinda thing? NEKRO138 23-04-2009, 14:40 They take it slightly more seriously than Dread Zeppelin and are much better at it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gVwQzB6JDSk ohmyword 23-04-2009, 15:01 They take it slightly more seriously than Dread Zeppelin and are much better at it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gVwQzB6JDSk Aaw. I prefer bands who don't take it seriously, but I'll check that link out when I get home. Cheers  NEKRO138 23-04-2009, 15:02 Aaw. Ha! Sounds good. Will defo check it out. Smithster 23-04-2009, 15:25 Went to see them live last year and they are bloomin fantastic. I loved both Dub Side of the Moon and Radiodread, but I haven't heard Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Dub Band yet. I loved both Dub Side of the Moon and Radiodread, but I haven't heard Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Dub Band yet. Wouldn't mind seeing them live. I saw they were doing a couple of gigs last year but couldn't afford much at the time. The new one's good, worth getting. Smithster 23-04-2009, 15:30 Wouldn't mind seeing them live. I saw they were doing a couple of gigs last year but couldn't afford much at the time. The new one's good, worth getting. Cracking gig. So much energy. The only disappointnment was that they didn't do Great Gig in the Sky, which is their best cover IMO. But then, if the singer they brought with them wasn't confident about doing it then I'm glad she didn't attempt it, cos she could have completely ruined it. NEKRO138 23-04-2009, 15:32 Cracking gig. Actually, I was just talking about a Pink Floyd covers band I'm off to see tonight on another thread. They covered that last time and it was spot on, I have to say. Smithster 23-04-2009, 15:37 Yeah. Actually, I was just talking about a Pink Floyd covers band I'm off to see tonight on another thread. They covered that last time and it was spot on, I have to say. Who? Where? I'd love to see that  NEKRO138 23-04-2009, 15:40 Who? Where? I'd love to see that  Australian Pink Floyd, Sheffield Arena, covering all of The Wall followed by a greatest hits encore. Inflatables, lasers, the lot. Really good! Smithster 23-04-2009, 15:54 Australian Pink Floyd, Sheffield Arena, covering all of The Wall followed by a greatest hits encore. Inflatables, lasers, the lot. Really good! I've always wanted to see them. I've heard they're really good. Sadly, even if there are still tickets going I doubt I will be able to make it tonight :( Enjoy! NEKRO138 24-04-2009, 08:59 I've always wanted to see them. I've heard they're really good. Sadly, even if there are still tickets going I doubt I will be able to make it tonight :( Enjoy! Make sure you do see them, last night was incredible. If you're a big Floyd fan, I'd even recommend trying to get to a show on this tour. The effort they've put into the stage show is amazing. The guitar solo in Comfortably Numb was worth the entry alone. segasonic 24-04-2009, 10:21 Radiodread is ace, their version of Karma Police is amazing. JenC 24-04-2009, 15:35 Australian Pink Floyd, Sheffield Arena, covering all of The Wall followed by a greatest hits encore. Inflatables, lasers, the lot. Really good! I've heard so many good things about the Australian Pink Floyd. I'm a huge Floyd fan, I really must go and see them sometime. NEKRO138 30-06-2009, 11:28 Easy Star All Stars play Corporation in October! I can't wait. Phanerothyme 30-06-2009, 12:00 Dub side of the moon is a masterpiece. |
