View Full Version : How many guys have lesbian friends?

I was on the bus the other day and got talking to a group of people. The only girl in the group was gay, and I suddenly felt
deprived I hadn't got any lesbian friends. So, i've been trying to find a lesbian friend online but from what I gather most don't socialize with men ever...how true is this?

Quite an odd post this one.

It comes down to individual circumstances. It's not like you pick your friends because of their sexual orientation. I have a couple of lesbian friends, but that's just because that happen to be my friends and they happen to be gay. It's not planned.

Why do you want a lesbian friend thestruggle?

What do you think you'd get from a relationship with her that you couldn't or wouldn't or don't get from a 'straight' girl???

Or was it just that you liked the girl on the bus?

I have quite a few gay and bi (Actually bi, not just "ooh i'm bi, because its cool" type people) friends, if you socalise a lot i guess your bound to meet some.

I've got a few...

...but like Andy78 said, it wasn't a conscious decision, just something that is.

I'm totally confused as to why you feel you need a lesbian friend, you're not just trying to tick "right on" boxes I hope.

:suspect:

I couldn't tell you whether I have any Lesbian friends or not.

I have a couple of gay friends, but how I found out they were gay I can't remember - just hapened, I guess.

It's sad, in my opinion, to worry about the sexuality of your friends. If they're your friends it shouldn't mater to you what sexuality they have.

Just enjoy them as people in your life.

I have both male and female gay friends. I didn't pick them as friends, they are just great people regardless of their sexual preference.

Why do you specifically want a lesbian friend?

When a female friend openly introduces you to her "partner" it tends to be a bit of a giveaway (at least, it does if the "partner" is also female).

Sexual orientation should not really be the issue for friendship, if you see someone and you click...you click!
if you don't you don;t.
I worked with a girl who was a great friend and we got on really well.
Months later I found out she was a lesbian and she asked me if it would affect the relationship.
Absolutely no way, we got on even better and educated me about certain myths. You meet who you meet and if they don't like you for the way you are thats their problem

I dunno why I want a lesbian friend. The girl on the bus was just really interesting. Rather a lame reason but at the time it made sense.

Maybe you should get in touch with her! She was probably interesting because you happened to find her so, rather than particularly because of her sexuality... not every lesbian will be as interesting.... :)

I'll be your friend :) as for the threesome comment - darlin I find most men are far too intimidated by a woman's ability to please a ladee.... :p

Hey less of the most hoofie!

I have a couple of lesbian friends and its nice to be able to go out without having that whole do they dont they fancy me situation. Just like going out with the lads really.

Ok I take it back. I love my boy chums, because I like to feel like one of the lads sometimes, but I loathe it when we get viewed as just threesome material - hence my comment.

Sorry :)

I've had a few lesbian friends over the years and it has been for the most part quite positive as they have dispelled a lot of the stereotypical myths. I used to go drinking in the Cossack with a group of them and so met others. Imagine my surprise they don't all wear dungaree's, have short hair and hate men!!!
One good friend is a bit annoying purely because we like the same look when it comes to girls and she's better at talking to strangers than I am.

That's not true, the lesbians next door are always boasting about how often they clean the rug - they are ALWAYS giving that rug attention. I hoover mine once a week but they seem to be at it most days. Unnecessrily clean I think.

Ha ha ha, this thread has made me laugh so much - thank you, I needed cheering up!

Now, why not get yourselves down to Climax - July 16th I believe - and you may meet some really lovely people (you never know, some of the ladies may even be lesbians) LOL

PS: please don't be too disappointed if many lesbians turn out to be perfectly normal friendly people!

If you think that's "pure magic", you must be the sort of person who's impressed by David Blane.

A Lesbian found travelling on a bus! Goodness me, you've just shattered a myth. Whatever next I wonder? Maybe they'll be discovered socialising with men!

Cannot imagine why (apart from their shallow masculinity lol)

Women must know what women tend to like :D
