I'm just wondering if all rock fans are aware of Planet Rock. It plays rock music 24 hours a day and features famous rock stars presenting shows.

It is a must for rock fans.

Nope - is it a regular radio station ? Or internet or digital ??

It has to be better than Sky Channel 378 (Rockworld TV). It's EXACTLY the same every single day! I'm sick of hearing the Troubadours, but I love Alien Sex Fiend.

For classic rock and metal I just have to dig in to my cd collection.

However, if I want to explore new music, I tend to buy Terrorizer magazine.

I listen to it a lot, but it can get a bit samey. They also play too much Yes and Rush. Let's face it, a track each from them, and that's an hour up already. That said, they did have the decency to play the full 'Live In Gdansk' version of "Echoes" upon Nick Mason's death.

PaulineBHG, it's internet/digital, not analogue, or if you have Sky, it's channel 0110.

The Arrow is great on dab too.

Sound like my own album collection sometimes.

I listen to it, but get bored as it's mostly prog being played. Arrow Rock has more variety.

Planet Rock is on digitel. They are very cheap to buy nowadays and worth it for Planet Rock alone.

Scott Gorham from Thin Lizzy is doing a show on Sundays at 6pm, not only playing some great music but also telling stories about Lizzy touring.

Other famous names who are or have presented shows on PR are Alice Cooper, Rick Wakeman, Gary Moore,Toni Iomi, Ian Anderson, and Guy Pratt.

PR have a featured artist every month, this month it is Bob Dylan, previously AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Whitesnake and many others.

Of course its not perfect. No station can please everbody, but if you like Rock then its a must.

they seemed to have gone very proggy or bluesey

and its the same bands all the time

Arrow Rock is a more varied station (still rock)
