Hi guys,

It seems like there are a lot of keen knitters out there and being someone who can make an unsuccessful scarf I wondered if there where any groups looking for a quiet free space to get together? I am the store manager of Costa Coffee in Sheffield city centre (the old Laura Ashely) and if you haven't been before you may not know we have two floors so I am willing to close my downstairs area for any groups that want to use it. (restrictions apply just ask)

I can also recommend parking at Q park (Charles Street). Parking here will give you a 10% discount with proof of purchase at both Costa and Q park respectively.

We are open 7 days a week Monday-Saturday 7am-7pm, Sunday 9am-5pm.
Please call for a chat for further details 0114 276 0623

I'll look forward to hearing from you.

What's your wheelchair access like?

I'd love to be part of a city centre Knit And Natter type group.

I too would like to go to a city center group, preferably Monday to Friday, as I work weekends. What do others think?

I am new to knitting but would enjoy meeting other knitters to chat. Costa seems a great meeting place and any night, apart from Thursdays, would be good for me.

I've looked on their web site and it doesn't say anything about disabled access, and if i remember rightly the shop has stairs to go up to get in. I don't remember it having a lift inside to go downstairs either, but it was Laura Ashley the last time i went in there and that was yonks ago. Perhaps someone should ring them.

Just spoken to a helpful young lady on the phone about this matter and disability access is a problem, but there is nothing they can do about this because it is actually a listed building. I'm quite sure from the converstion i had that they would be more than willing to help anyone with a disability though, so i hope that this can sort things out for some of you.:)

Is anybody interested in following Moonfire's suggestion? It seems a shame to let this opportunity go.

Okay, I reckon that from what everyone says it would be a good idea to hold it on a Friday - I don't think it clashes with anything :)
