I have recently planted a Hawthorn & Hornbeam Hedge approx 25yds long
They were bare rooted and are just starting to come into leaf , I planted it up against a small brick wall approx 36" high. My problem is the local yobs like sitting on the wall and some of my plants have had the tops snapped off.
I am trying to deter them from sitting on it . Personally i would like to put watch towers up with 50mm machine guns in but unfortunately i cant !!.
So i was thinking about mixing some treacle or molasses in some water and sprinkling it on the wall in the hope that it will attract wasps & bees etc which might put them off sitting there ! ,Do you think it will work , if not does anyone have any other suggestions ?.Thank You.

Put some horse manure on your side of the garden wall, cant see them wanting to sit there for too long on a nice warm day.

Plant food and yob deterrent in one. I've also heard that soaking rhubarb leaves in water creates a foul smelling brew which you can then water on brassicas to deter cabbage whites (and yobs!)

If there sitting on it put anything sticky that will get stuck to their clothes. They will soon learn to not sit there.
