Friday 1st May

After a couple of months repping the primest Yorks only talent, we've cast the disko net a tad further for May and are properly chuffed to have hauled in London's Scott Cooper.

We’ve been feeling Scott’s blend of jackin’, bass-heavy house with dancehall, ragga and hip-house influences for a good while now. His remix of Sawtooth Sucka’s Backing Town made an appearance on last summer's RD mixtape, and his bootleg of South Rakkas Crew’s Mad Again is a fixture in our boxes right now.

Not content with banging out some of the strongest shizzle on Wearhouse (the Hangin’ with Mr Cooper and Waking Up The Town EPs), his remix work for the likes of AC Slater/Fagget Fairys, A1 Bassline, Stamma, Gella and Adam Bozzetto has had us consistently freaking.

Hijack, Trevor Loveys, Heavyfeet and Tom EQ have all remixed Scott's tracks, and he’s also collaborated with RD hero and "one man taste vacuum" Edu K on Crank Dat, and hooked up with Andy George for the incendiary Pianoman/Jump & Twist EP on Potty Mouth.

With another AC Slater remix and a Jak Z collaboration to come, and heavy DJ support from Diplo, Kissy Sell Out, Santiago & Bushido, Jaymo, Laidback Luke and Foamo amongst others, we can’t wait for this one to drop…

A tasty free mix from the man to keep you going can be found here (http://www.zshare.net/audio/551101791e6fa399/ www.myspace.com/djscottcooper)

Providing able backup on the ones and twos are Sheffield electro/techno DJ and production duo Up & Atom. With residencies at Club Pony and Fairground, they’ve long been ruling some of the finest parties in S1. Heavy duty all round...

Plus Rough Disko residents will as usual be dropping jackin’ house, disco, techno, baile funk, Baltimore, ghettotech, acid, Miami Bass and whatever else is necessary to keep it fresh on the floor...

Unearthed a mix originally meant for promoting the RD 4th birthday last autumn but for some reason it never saw the light of day. Some of the tracks are a bit overplayed now due to being a few months old, but an entertaining enough selection of what we play...some Sheffield bleep, Cuban booty music, Detroit techno, disco, electro, fidget blah blah blah...

You can download it here (http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=ac3c20429141e8896b21be4093fab7ac35457610 8ffb0bc9c95965eaa7bc68bc) if you so desire.

Friday is the jump-off for this one....one of the UK's hottest producers right now, who has DJed at massive events all over the world - we're absolutely hyped to be putting him on in such an intimate venue...
