I was just wondering, are there any students from Hallam that are in Halls?

If you are, which ones are you in?

Im sort of still in leadmill point - but moving my stuff to a new house

Cool, I've seen Leadmill in my Halls book.

I'm just curious about it, because I'm starting at Hallam in September and I want a fairly nice place to live.

I was going to go to a student house, but I don't think I could handle the mess (lol!).

I'm currently looking at Exchange Works, Archways, Charlotte Court and Leadmill Point...

Do you have any tips or advice for me?:)

hiya, i lived in exchange works last year, and am living there this year due to not bothering to find a house early enough.
i'd recommend it for the location and obv been en-suite. howver last year the internet was complete crap, £215 for the 'the year' which was end of october (when it started) till beginning of july. but from sept, itll b a fiver a week which seems more reasonable, and they assure me it will be faster.

Where in town are Exchange Works, Archways, Charlotte Court ? Is that one of them near Niche ? Or has that Halls been closed ???

Hiya, i lived in charlotte court this year ( as a second year student with friends!). It was really nice, the halls were lovely- big kitchen good sie rooms, nice ensuite n the general environment was friendly. There was also (limited) secure car parking which was great n da staff dair are young (mostly) and al really friendly! We had the internet (broadband) free this year as it was a trial, but u may have to pay but it wasn't that much as far as i no but the connection was BRILL! u never no u might get it free too. Its about a nice stroll- 15 min walk 10 if normal walk 2 city campus.

I must say though the area is a bit ruff so dont park your car on the road if u have one, and at night always walk back with sum1 as it dus get a bit freeky!

But its not a hugely bad area as dairs loads studetn houses bout and a lovely sandwich shop nearby!

I personally rank it better than exchange works! might be bit further but is better. Also there are alot less students dair so exchange might be good if you wana makeloads mates!

Exchange Works is on Arundel St, right opp Gatecrasher. Leadmill Point is opp Leadmill nightclub. Archways is right next door to Leadmill Point too. And Charlotte Court is on Charlotte Road, just up from Netto
