goldenfleece   11 #1 Posted April 18, 2009 been 3 times in the last month and in each case, the screen I was attending was totally deserted aside from me and girlfriend.....no one in at all.......this must be the most unpopular cinema in town.....and, before anyone says it, I HAD had a bath on all 3 visits! Frohike   10 #2 Posted April 18, 2009 I suppose it does depend on what time of day or evening you go. After all, who wants to sit in a big dark room on a sunny day? I go to the Odeon more than any other cinema in Sheffield, simply because its easier to get to. To be honest, I've no complaints about it either. rainbow sky   10 #3 Posted April 18, 2009 I hate it, as the seats have no place to put your drinks, so when you are taking the kids all drinks etc. get put on the floor.
 Share this content via...

Rich   12 #5 Posted April 18, 2009 If the Odeon did an Unlimited card I use it more, they don't, and Cineworld does, so I go to Cineworld. Plus Cineworld's on the Tram route, easier access.
 Share this content via...
rainbow sky   10 #6 Posted April 18, 2009 There are drinks holders in the seat arms.   There weren't any in the seats the last twice we have been in, maybe it is just in the smaller screen rooms then.
 Share this content via...

haddockman   10 #9 Posted April 19, 2009 I've noticed it's always very quiet. I use Cineworld because of the Unlimited card, but if Odeon did do one,I think I'd still use Cineworld because the cinema is much nice, they show a wider range of films and the staff are very pleasant. rad   10 #10 Posted April 19, 2009 The Odeon's like watching a telly. To be honest, when you've got the Showroom for old stuff and more alternative features, and Cineworld/Vue for the blockbusters, there's little need for the Odeon for a lot of folk. Small screens, a bit shabby... it would be a shame for it to go but I guess it's hard to compete as it currently is.
 Share this content via...
andysm   18 #11 Posted April 21, 2009 For tall people like myself the Odeon is not very comfortable. Also on the occasions when I have been in the Odeon there always seems to be a lot of noise and disruption. I use Cineworld because of the unlimited card.
