First off I'm pretty sure that Deejay is gonna crucify me for this but hey ho.

I'm going on holiday on 21st July and it's gonna be hot as satans undercrackers (2 weeks All In to Egypt with the girlfriend for which the tickets arrived on Thursday - Get In! Woo Hoo!). Although I tan quite easily I don't want to go all lobster-y so I thought I'd see about getting a bit tanned before I go, as I am reliably informed this can help with getting a cracking tan.

The missus reckons that standy uppy sunbeds are better than the lie down ones cos they're quicker (I get bored easily and would probably fall asleep, not a good thing on a sunbed). So, my questions are:

- where in either the city centre or around Crookes can I find one of these standy uppy efforts?
- how much is this vanity gonna cost me?
- any tips on standy uppy sunbed technique and etiquette?
- any thoughts on how many times/how long i should go for?

Thanking you in advance

You want the abuse online or in person :hihi:

There's a place on Crookes main road that is reasonable - think its called Sunglow leisure. Costs about £3 for 6 mins and you can usually just pop in.

Hiya Limpetboy,

The 'stand up sun tanners' are a lot quicker than the lay down ones' but be careful if you burn easily, start off having 3-4 mins and see how you go with that.

You can also get that new Johnsons Summer Sun Lotion, it will moisturise your skin and it contains a little self-tan in it so you'll boost your tan painlessly.

We're going to Egypt very soon and i've bought all sorts of stuff - sun block, sun lotion, after sun, big floppy hat, hand held fan, plug-in mosie repellant, mosie repellant spray, mosie sting-ease, anti-histemine tablets, first aid kit, Immodium (2 packs), antiseptic hand wash and wipes, water purification tablets, cool spray stuff, etc etc.

I'll be back before you go - i'll let you know if I needed to use any of the stuff! :hihi:
