Have you spoken to your community midwife? They do classes at Jessops at different times of the day etc to suit working expectant mums and their partners. We went to a set of 5 evening classes at Jessops on a Wednesday 7pm-9pm. They also do classes where you get the same info over a weekend.

I live in Woodhouse and my midwife told me about classes that were running in children's centres close by at Weekends that we could have gone too.

You may be interested in taking antenatal classes privately either with me and the HypnoBirthing (http://www.sheffieldhypnobirthing.co.uk) program or with the NCT (http://www.nct.org.uk/in-your-area/course-finder?postcode=s2&course_type_ref=1)- see links for more information. I can offer substantial discounts for people who have financial difficulties as do the charity NCT (National Childbirth Trust) when booking on a group course.

Hi,
I am looking at the ante natal classes at Jessops and the NCT classes. I am not sure how they differ and don't know anyone who has done one or the other. Can you help?

Thanks.

Hiya,

Jessops classes get booked ridiculously fast! My midwife tried for weeks to get me a place there but it was always booked. The same people used to run classes in the Early Days Children’s Centre, (71 Palgrave Road, Sheffield, South Yorkshire, S5 8GS). That's in Parson Cross and may be closer to where you live.

Your midwife should have all the details and should book you in at one of these places so get her help.
