I have some Lettuce plants (2 quid in a little carton from Morrisons if you've seen em) and they are growing nicely in a mini greenhouse but it's a little sweaty in there and one has gone a bit mouldy and died. Is it too hot or damp for em? - and will be be for my herbs if they ever hatch from the current seed like state? Planning to plant them out in containers this weekend anyway as they are a lot bigger now.

your little grow house is really just for starting things off, once established get them out side. I'm going to put tomatoes in mine when all the bedding plants have come out. I also open mine during the day to get some air circulating.

Cheers for that. I'm limited to 4 big wooden barrels for what I grow. Can Herbs and chillis stay in the mini greenhouse (if they take that is)? It's quite tall so was thinking maybe keep the top shelve in with the herbs and chillis, and then grow tomatoes under in a space tall enough for them.... then with any look I'll have 4 barrels with lettuce, carrots, spring onions, and anything else I buy as small plants now subject to room in the barrels...

guessing its a plastic cover over a frame?

I grow my herbs on pots on the windowsill, you could also grow dwarf french bean as thats more bushy and compact. I would stick to toms and peppers in the grow house and to avoid the mold problem make sure it is well ventilated.

Yeah, plastic covered one so with what will hopefully be some sort of summer approaching opening the front during the day sounds like a good call..

Excellent, cheers. They can share a growbag with the toms then :)

That's what I'm doing, half for toms half for peppers

and finally, I've bought some bits that will make a cracking trellis about 80cm wide and 2m high once finished to lean up against the garage wall at a slight angle. If I do this will one of those small long growbags (the ones they market for tomatoes) at the bottom of it suffice for a base in which to plant things? Gardening with out a gardens a right arse but I'm getting very very creative :)
