CC123 15-04-2009, 13:08 Have you tried Sheffield College, the engineering dept. is at their Olive grove site opposite the FirstBus garage. Telephone; 0114 2603699,this number is a direct line for the electrical course tutors. peteh1 15-04-2009, 13:26 Thanks, will give them a call. peteh1 15-04-2009, 13:49 Number coming up as not recognised !! CC123 15-04-2009, 14:26 Sorry,I haven't used it for a while.according to the DWP website, you need to ring;0114 2603603 for all course enquiries. If you explain that you're wanting to do the exam as an outside entrant, they should be able to help you. peteh1 15-04-2009, 14:35 Still getting not recognised, have e-mailed college now !! thanks for trying to help though ! Mayfield 15-04-2009, 16:24 Did mine at arena training, but i don't think you can do the exam without taking the 1 day or 5day (depending on when you sat your 16th ed.) course first. I believe it's a City and Guilds requirement rather than anything else. Good luck peteh1 17-04-2009, 13:52 Thanks for your reply, will check with Arena, did the 16th in 2002 so the might say I need the full five days, which is a non starter cost wise ! Mayfield 17-04-2009, 16:43 After 2000 you can take the 1 day course:banana:. Hope this helps Tog1 17-04-2009, 20:35 Try Reset Training Ltd. they are based in Ecclesfield peteh1 20-04-2009, 11:27 Thanks Mayfield & Tog1, bit of ringing round needed I think! |
