Anyone know where you can just sit the exam without doing a days prep course ?

Have you tried Sheffield College,the engineering dept. is at their Olive grove site opposite the FirstBus garage.

Sorry,I haven't used it for a while.according to the DWP website,you need to ring;0114 2603603 for all course enquiries.If you explain that you're wanting to do the exam as an outside entrant,they should be able to help you.

Did mine at arena training, but i don't think you can do the exam without taking the 1 day or 5day (depending on when you sat your 16th ed.) course first. I believe it's a City and Guilds requirement rather than anything else. Good luck

Thanks for your reply, will check with Arena, did the 16th in 2002 so the might say I need the full five days, which is a non starter cost wise !

After 2000 you can take the 1 day course:banana:. Hope this helps
