Can you be more specific about where you are going to from Sheffield, or will any seaside place do? If that's the case, why not look at the Trans Pennine Trail www.transpenninetrail.org.uk That goes all the way from the east coast to the west coast via Sheffield.

ok depends on seaside you are going to, if you are riding from sheffield maybe look at the cleaveland way the full walk cannot think where it starts but goes via helmsley etc then all the way down the north east coast starting at redcar. You dont have to do it all you can just do a section.
