View Full Version : Looking for nice restaurant to go for our 1st wedding anniversary
Hi
We wanted to go to Viva Tequila for our wedding anniversary cos its our fave restaurant, but its closed on bank holidays (anniversary 25th May).
Can anyone recommend somewhere nice to go? Not seafood, preferable south side of Sheffield or town centre - ta!
firstmanonth 14-04-2009, 19:21 Can't go wrong with Nonna's on Ecclesall Road. Fine Italian food, and it's got a real lively buzz.
Que-tal (bottom of West Street opposite Swim Inn) is nice ...similar food too !!
The Damhouse 14-04-2009, 20:25 The Damhouse Cookes?
Loch Fyne Glossop Road?

I went to Damhouse with my husband for my birthday last month and it was really really nice, service, place and food were great
I'd also reccommend Antibo, San Remo, BB's, Cafe Rouge and La Gondala in the city centre

The original poster did say 'Not seafood'! I do agree with the Dam House though, also Ivory, the Milestone (if you don't mind going out to Kelham Island!) and Walnut Club on Eccy Road. Have heard good things about the new Wig and Pen but haven't managed to go yet (tried on Easter Monday and it was closed).
dagnall3 15-04-2009, 11:55 yes it is really nice there

I really like vittorius (i think thats how u spell it) on ecclesall road. its not as well knows as nonnas so it is more private which is what u want on a romantic meal isn't it? the food is lovely and it is perfect for couples, and to top it off a v nice fish tank in the middle! what more could you want?! you could pretend you are romeo and juliet when they firstmeet eyes through the fish tank haha!
p.s then i recommend you pop in menzels and sit in the vIP section after the meal. you can have a private booth, have drinks served to you all night and ladies get half price cocktails!
23 Bar and Restaurant in West one is really nice...do great cocktails aswell.
I love Vittoria's too on Eccy Road. If you're on a budget, La Luna on Eccy Rod South is good as it's BYO wine. As is BB's on Division Street and Cassanova's in Crookes.
cool, that isn't the place where u make pottery is it? i heard about a place where u can take your own wine, order a takeaway and make pottery which i thort sounded great!
ROOGALATOR 21-04-2009, 21:56 Look no further than the Mediterranean or Otto's, both on Sharrowvale Road. Both independant, relaxing, great food and good service

I would 2nd Medditerranean and Vittoria's, both very good.
La Ghondla on west street is an ace italian and so is papachitios (this may be mis-spelt) in Crosspool
