Mines a jack russell cross westie and looks nothing like that!!! Hes black for a start and short coated but the body does look abit westie!!! I know in Rockys litter the girls were jack russell colouring! I would say he was a cross with another terrier though!

He looks like a jack russell to me. Arent there jack russell terriers and parson jack russell terriers? He looks like the kind which played eddie on frasier-just dif colourings.

Theres the parsons russell terriers and there like jack russells but alittle bigger with the rough coat so he could be one or a mix of both. He does look like Eddies breed!!!

Rough haired JR here too, the shorter hair on the face is different though, perhaps he has a shorthaired parent.

they tended to be mainly smooth in the 70's, but more recently they seem to come in a strange combination of rough and smooth :?

google for the breed club and look at the wide mix there are there - though expect to see the working ones a little longer in the leg

id say jack russell, my friends got one and hes rough haired just like yours.

Thanks everyone. He is quite long in the body and his nose is long and kind of squarish - the other JRs I've seen have quite shortish round noses. Here's another pic of him from the side.

Yep, a jrt alright. I have 2, look totally different to each other. One is a smooth coated black tri who specialises in being an arse with his mother (he ran out of the ring after one jump for me yesterday) but who adores children and will jump through hoops for them (and got 2 wins and a clear round for a kid he hardly knows today). His sister is a tiny tiny broken coated lemon and white who (facially) bears a resemblance to your boy.
