Hi there we have recently purchased a property that needed updating shall we say, my advice is get your builder or tradesperson to price up a kitchen at howdens, we had several qutoes made by the other large retail companies and were also gobsmacked at the prices they came up with.
The builder/tradesperson will have a howdens brochure or you can look online, our kitchen cost less than 2k with appliances and is very good quality, however my other bit of advice is ask the tradesperson/builder to provide you with the actual Howdens printed receipt so you know that they are not adding on a few hundred extra!

We were there the best part of 2 hours and the same old bloke wandered around with us the whole time giving assistance. Our purchases came to something like £1126, and he said "call it a £1k to make life easier and we'll deliver":thumbsup:.

I second Pickfords in Rotherham for bathrooms, absolutely fabulous company. We bought a new bathroom in the Xmas sales for a house we planned to move into in Jan and then cos of solicitor trouble (whate else!) we didnt get in until March and they just kept it until we were sorted.
