I couldn't find a thread about this, so I thought I'd let you know the competition has just been launched.

From the website:

A brand new international photography competition, the prestigious British Wildlife Photography Awards celebrates and recognise the talents of photographers of all nationalities practicing in the UK while, at the same time, highlighting the great wealth and diversity of the natural history of the British Isles.

At a time when we're increasingly conscious of the importance of wildlife, habitat and conservation, the Awards will encourage photographers, whether professional or enthusiast, to explore Britain’s natural and urban environments, and discover its bounty of wildlife species, from birds to mammals, insects to marine life.

British Wildlife Photography Awards
Your chance to win a prestigious photography award, cash first prize of £5,000 and exposure in a nationwide touring exhibition.

Looks good. They even include in the entry T&Cs a bit about them only using images for exhibition directly for this comp and no commercial usage

Wonder if I can use this as a a excuse reason to get that new lens past the household fiscal controller.... :hihi:

You're very welcome :)

I've recently been given a camera of my very own, but I doubt I'll be any kind of competition, lol.

Hopefully I'll be announcing a more local competition soon...
