I used to have a regular 3 times a year visit to do a job in Newcastle University, and the female North east accent is so inviting. Shocking. :hihi: Andy78 01-07-2005, 15:25 Certain Scottish accents always work like a charm on me. Also certain Irish accents do too. I'll just bunch them together and say Celt. muddycoffee 01-07-2005, 15:32 Originally posted by 21steve Nell Mcandrew that was born in Leeds? gotta love her jordie accent! Litha 01-07-2005, 15:35 MMMmmmmmm its gotts be scottish ***melts*** nick2 01-07-2005, 15:43 I think Russian, Ivana Humpalot had a sexy accent. Mod2 01-07-2005, 15:44 Me and two others for London then  PhilipB 01-07-2005, 16:08 There are so many Scottish accents it's impossible to just say "Scottish". Sexiest from a woman, a very very posh Glaswegian. Yes there are such women about. Mega sexy.  banesmabes 01-07-2005, 16:10 I've voted Scottish, but not all Scottish accents. Glaswegian really doesn't do it for me - but give me a man from Aberdeen or Dundee any day!! pussycat 01-07-2005, 16:21 I voted for Welsh speaking English, but a nice soft Scouse accent, as found in the North of Merseyside, is a close second  craigb 01-07-2005, 16:23 A woman with a mild Geordie accent.... there is nothing finer  Failing that - either a mild Scottish or Irish accent. Got to agree with that StarSparkle 01-07-2005, 18:47 Originally posted by PhilipB There are so many Scottish accents it's impossible to just say "Scottish". That's so very true. There is a world of difference between a harsh, broad Glaswegian accent and a soft, lilting, almost musical, accent from the Western Isles. The latter accent is almost closer to a soft Irish accent than those of Central Scotland. I think if I wasn't from Edinburgh, I'd really like an educated Edinburgh accent - but as it is, I can't really hear it as an accent as such - it just sounds like the natural way to talk! I don't know about sexy as such, but the Isle of Skye accent is a joy to listen to. Whereas Glasgow :gag: - sorry but there's no such thing as 'posh' Glaswegian! :o :) StarSparkle Annoni_mouse 01-07-2005, 19:00 Of course it does depend on the person in question, but for me,a women with a sexy southern accent is just about unresistible;) jayjay 01-07-2005, 21:24 Irish every time :blush::love: nightrider 01-07-2005, 22:00 I have no idea why but I love girls with scouse accents. Its just so sexy! lizzmobile 01-07-2005, 23:06 I like Dutch speaking English, is der way dat dey can't seem to say deir th's and squash deir 's's. Is that the plural of s? robbie 01-07-2005, 23:32 I voted French but its a close call to Scottish. However, sexy Welsh is so so sexy WallBuilder 01-07-2005, 23:44 Another vote for the Western Isles of Scotland and like Muddycoffeee I like the accent of the girls from Newcastle. If I'm really honest though I'd have to say I find most accents sexy especially if they're laughing at my humour and definitely not swearing with every fourth word when they do speak. stars_gazing 27-11-2005, 12:00 I was just about to start this thread- but searched and found it  I voted the American accent (let's face it, it's beautiful - though I refer only to the West Coast version), however, there was no Spanish accent and that one is yummy :) MTheo 27-11-2005, 12:09 irish... not too strong but yeah.. that'll do nicely :) barnie41 27-11-2005, 12:11 Definitely a nice, soft Irish accent, every time Moon Maiden 27-11-2005, 12:11 Originally posted by PhilipB Sexiest from a woman, a very very posh Glaswegian. I'm not surprised they have problems with certain english sounds- have you tried to pronounce some of their sounds? Lestat 27-11-2005, 12:23 Why is Indian accent not there??:suspect: . . . . I particularly find the Carribean accent to be the most sexiest and hypnotic of accents though. redrobbo 27-11-2005, 19:37 Geordie - but then my father's side of the family are all Geordies, so I'm biased to begin with. But I'll also vote for Spanish. dieselbabe 27-11-2005, 19:58 Geordie for me too, that only because my other half from there. It did use to be irish but think that with liveing with irish people in my family. But now being with him and meeting his family i got to like it a lot. Bic0 28-11-2005, 00:32 Either young (compared to me!) French or Italian females, speaking broken english in a soft voice... Music to my ears! ;) buck 28-11-2005, 03:40 Definitely NOT Australian!!! buck 28-11-2005, 03:43 Especially that jackass who fights crocodiles on TV peterdo 28-11-2005, 04:57 Originally posted by buck Definitely NOT Australian!!! Among my favorites are South Carolina and Hawaiian women's voices. American Indian men have good voices Rich 28-11-2005, 16:16 Originally posted by Andy78 Certain Scottish accents always work like a charm on me. Also certain Irish accents do too. Because their tech support monkeys were Irish, and I couldn't understand what they were saying half the time.... :Then again it would still have been in double Dutch had it been in English IMO :loopy: No offense intended to Irish folk. nick2 28-11-2005, 16:26 I like that guys accent in the Mc Donalds Deli sandwiches advert, I think he's Welsh. timo 28-11-2005, 21:57 A sultry, smouldering, French accent [female] is an immediately arousing sound to me. French is the sexiest language in the world, the true language of love. A sexy Frenchwoman's voice should bring out the stallion in any hot-blooded, heterosexual man. Sadly, sexy Frenchwomen are in short supply in Sheffield [and Southport, where I am exiled]. I occasionally beg my wife to affect a Gallic accent and answer to 'Fifi' , but it is all futile pretence really. spyro2000 28-11-2005, 21:59 Originally posted by timo A sultry, smouldering, French accent [female] is an immediately arousing sound to me. HappyHoosier 30-11-2005, 18:37 I like most British accents, but Scottish is probably my favorite. Iain Glen and Gerard Butler are sexy. Robert Carlysle is good, too, except when he's doing an English accent. (I had to use the subtitles for "Once Upon a Time in the Midlands.") So, not many people think American accents are sexy, eh? Obviously, you've never seen "The Dukes of Hazzard!" Andy78 30-11-2005, 18:39 Originally posted by jen229 Walton, not the poshest of scouse areas I admit but I went to posh school. I never thought anything of a Glasgow accent until I got to know someone who works in our Glasgow office. I'm sure it must be her I like and not the accent cos its never done anything for me before. Bizarrely enough I actually find a Birmingham accent quite sexy. Remember Birmingham accent is different to black country, which is actually quite a comic accent to my ears. livestrong 23-12-2005, 21:40 I personally think what the person says and how they say it has more impact on whether the accent comes across as sexy.
