Have organised a ice skating social at ICE sheffield on Sat 18th April.
Its £3.70 including skate hire. Meet at reception at 19.15 to organise skates, payment etc.
please let me know by sign up on this tread/text/email etc.. :D
also note for your diaries.... SFBC Big Summer Ball on the Sat 20th June 2009. More details to follow later :cool:

Ive only Ice skated twice before, each time ive crashed and caused carnage.....people have gone flying.......im deffinately up for this :D
A few of us are gonna meet in The Old Monk at about 5pm to watch the first half of the cup semi-final before getting a tram over to Ice Sheffield (where we hope we can watch the second half). Anyone is welcome to join us :)

I first went ice skating in the temp. rink in Norwich city centre during Christmas 2007. The boots I was given were a bit too high around the leg and cut deep grooves into my calf muscles. I still had highly visible marks when I went back to the same rink during christmas 2008.
I'm yet to fall over properly on the ice but I'm sure I can manage it on Saturday for everyone's amusement.

Where abouts is the old Monk? i will be grabbing the tram, so if someone can tell me the nearest tram stop, i can ask directions from there....
