As the weather is improving I thought I'd post some pictures taken throughout the UK on the rare occasions when the sun's actually been out.

Now that lickle lamb would have won the 'happiness' competition hands down! I like the bird too but have you struggled to get that one sharp? It has a bit of an over-sharpened look to me.

Not sure about the rest... the sunset looks a bit dark tho I can see you're going for the silhouette. I like the logs/tree stumps - and the stripey field - tho only coz it reminds me of the summer I got banned from driving a tractor for making similarly bent rows in a straight cauliflower field!

And the tulips? Nah - dog wit! :P

Really like the late evening fishing shot. The rest are very interesting. The grain on the gull works for me.

Thank you for your comments, lickle lamb is one of the first pictures that I took with a decent SLR and is probably 23 years old. Upon getting my prints back, the processing company had chopped its ear off plus colour balance terrible. It was one of the reasons that I moved on to slides.
painting with tulips was achieved by a tripod mounting and a 1/15sec exposure when the wind blew.
Late night fishing was actually taken by my now deceased wife. It has enjoyed success in both competitions and exhibitions.
A Long dry spell is actually the dried up clay of an abandoned reservoir.
The grass and stripes is one of my more recent slides and is its first outing.
In a flap is either a common or arctic tern. The original is awol therefire this is from a duplicate high contrast exhibition slide, the grain deliberately left in to cover all the cloning I had to do to mask scatches where it had dropped in the mount.
