Help! My partner and I run a small pub in the city centre.

Obviously we enjoy beer, but are running out of ideas for what to do on the only night off work we have together.

It's great to get out of the building for the evening, and we'd love some of your thoughts, which don't include the cinema, theatre, or going out for a meal! We are beginning to feel quite old - and we're only in our late 20s...

We really enjoy the Dove and Rainbow's film quiz - but we can't do this every week, surely?!

why not try The Caper Club at Takapuna Bar on West Street. It's a small independent comedy night that happens on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month and always has good line-ups.

I second the idea of the caper club. I am a landlord myself and have been to every comedy night there for the last 4 months. I can never remember any of the jokes to tell my punters when i get back though!

Will definately try the Caper Club, as we're disappointed we can't make it to the Last Laugh at the Lescar.

While at Uni (some 6 years ago), I used to love Drum and Bass, but am probably not funky enough nowadays!

Rockaoke at The Nelson Rock Pub, Furnival Gate is great fun on Wednesday nights. Think it starts around half seven.
