Ugh, this thread is trolling of the worst sort.. It'll end in tears when the Mods come back off lunch break (I'm sure Geoff lets them have one :P)

Why's it trolling? It's just asking for gamertags.

Because the title is deliberately provocative IMO.

lol fight back, u even used the word gamertag, which is the xbox 360 handle.

I assume your reffering to the PSN ID.

Nah they're console gamers, they wouldn't know proper nerdiness if it was wearing an anorak & taking pictures of a steam engine 2 metres in front of them...

Why must it be a "fight back" against anyone?

Actually, forget that, why not just do a thread search and find http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=445739&highlight=playstation+network

The 80s rang, they want their feud back.

I do agree though, having used both a Commodore C64 and all versions of the Spectrum (except +3) I concur that the Spectrum was indeed better, OK the C64 games had less colour clash, but the Speccy was better overall, easier to program as well, even for the pifflingly easy 10 print "Bill Gates is God" 20 Goto 10 thingy.

What is wrong with me? I actually agree with Rich on this one :) (well, aside from the Bill Gates is God thingy...hehe)

Seriously, I preferred the Speccy to the C64. My Commodore owning buddies tried to make me jealous at the colour and scrolling of the C64, but the Speccy just had more charm, and the sprites didn't look as squashed in a lot of games. And for those who claim the Spectrum couldn't handle lots of things happening without tons of color clash....I tell them to check out the Spectrum conversion of R-Type! Absolutely beautiful! (And if you want an example of great use of cartoony colour in games, look at the games of Don Priestly like Trap Door, Flunky, and Popeye)

Yeah, the Spectrum was excellent!

It's amazing how you can now download almost every Spectrum game for use on an emulator in seconds, yet it took 12* mins to load just one back in the day! ;)

*maybe 11 mins 55 secs with the 'Turbo Loaders'

From worldofspectrum.org, shame you can't download the classic Codemasters games though such as Super Robin Hood, Ghosthunters and the Dizzy and Seymour games, but Codies have denied their distribution.

Plenty of PC based remakes of the Dizzy games available though if you know where to look for them.

The Speccy, as great as it is, doesn't have a SID chip. Winner = C64 ;)

And that's just classic. IMPOSTER!! Come on, what have you done with the real Rich?!? :suspect:
