I was under the impression they were keeping the petrol station even though the store itself was closing.

The Better Half always takes me with her to the Shell on Eccy Road to help her blow up her tyres

Don't put yourself down love. The fact that you knew that you had to put air in tyres puts you in the top 5%.

I had at the weekend:
"My car needs to go into garage"
"Why?"
"Windscreen wiper on back window needs changing"

hehe ok. The one time I used a pump at a petrol station that didn't have a digital screen and had a gauge on the actual air line, I ended up with a flat tyre- a nice man who was getting petrol came over and got down on his hands and knees wearing a suit and changed my tyre for me- I was only 18 and had not long been driving, ah I was so upset :(

Or buy your own from halfords for around £15 :)
