Is there or has there ever been a problem with cats being stolen in Sheffield to have their pelts turned into fur coats?

I have heard this does happen but is it a problem for Sheffield cats?

Why don't you get on the streets and ask the Cats? You never know, you might meet a cat with a nice lady owner. :clap:

My cat's having a nice nap downstairs at the moment, he thanks you for your concern, but says he's never had anybody try to steal him, and he's an expensive pedigree persian :thumbsup:

I'd rather have a persian coat, how much would it be to turn my two prize winning persians into a nice jacket and matching tie?

There was once talk of the cats at crookes being stolen by the less wealthy students who would sell them at the uni for vivisection.. I like to think that this was total fabrication, although when we lived at crookes I allways worried about my little kitty :suspect:

I also have just asked my Persian the same and he just sniffily said that they would have to get up in the morning to catch him for his pelt.
