hi im looking to sheffield and wondered if anybody knows of temp agencies which dont require you to work a month in hand? what with moving, paying deposits and bonds, i really cant afford to go without wages for a month!

In my experience most agencies only ask you to work a week in hand...

can anyone else verify this? i live in lincoln and i know my companies temp agenecy make you wait a month! plus does anyone know an agency where i can get paid weekly??

I realise you may be sorted with something now but try "The Agency" (yes thats the actual name of the agency!) on High Street opposite TJ Hughes. I think its just a week in hand but they are very personable in there ie you won't be made to feel like a number. They have plenty of admin work available.

I have done temp work for Sewell Moorhouse and I can highly recomend them as an agency. They have a good reputation in Sheffield and I was introduced to them myself through various contacts.

I can confirm that they do pay weekly and I have incured no problems in getting paid.

Horizon never gave me my holiday pay or a p45 so bit miffed with them. In their defence i only gave them a days notice to say i was quitting, but on the other hand i kinda thought that was the point of temping.
