Hi

I've decided on getting a dog and think that a miniature schanuzer would be the perfect breed for me but am really concerned about ensuring that the puppy comes from a good home and so was wondering whether anyone could recommend a breeder or recommend a way of finding a good breeder?

Thanks

Oooo yes I can, cos I've got one!

We acquired a lovely, female ex breeding dog from a breeder called Karen Turner. All the pups are KC registered. She's over near Dinnington. She only lets her breeding dogs have a couple of litters, then rehomes them, thats how we ended up with Evie and she's a little star. So she may have some older bitches too if you decided you didn't want to go thorough the puppy stage.

Her number is: Jaycliffe Kennels & Cattery: 01709 701080

Forgot to say, good luck! Hope you find what you are looking for. I love this breed, always have, and always wanted one.

I can second all of karen's dogs. They are the best little dog on earth I think these little Miniature Schnautzers (sp).

All of them have fantastic tempraments - and Loui her proper good guy is just a dream. If the world was full of minni's s's - we wouldn't have a problem with dogs. I know that Karen has a younger litter, but that she does also have some older ones available too - cos I was tempting Jarvis with one the other day wasn't i Jarvis?

Yes you were RR! And you know I take no persuasion what so ever. The hubby on the other hand, well he's a different matter!

I just love their characters. I've always loved them and always wanted one. The time was never right until last year, and thats when my little Evie came into my life. And I've had the best year ever with her. She's my best mate and goes everywhere with me. As you can probably tell I'm besotted with her.

Am sure Evie would love a friend though lol i saw how she was playing with that beautiful staff at the walk surely you could lay a guilt trip on hubby :D
that is what i did.

Even though my 2 generally have little to do with each other they give each other this type of companionship that they can't get from me, i am sure they give each other comfort and security. Although i am definately mum and rule the roost but if Tilly is frightened she goes and lays with or on Albert

Oh she did Adz, she had such fun on the walk, she loves to run about with other dogs, when the mood takes her. I think the main problem is work with us. We are VERY lucky, Evie comes to work with us. But there are 2 other owners of the company to consider and the staff of course. And 2 at work would be much more of a presence than Eves, who most of time we don't even know she is here. She's in her bed, pretending to be asleep now!

Bless her, i see i suppose that situation does make things more complicated. You need a large drawer you can hide a dog in me thinks!!

I have two miniature schanuzers Phobie and Millie they are absolutley wonderful dogs and l would reccomend this breed to anyone. My two look absolutley fabulous once my wife (Sams Cuts) on here grooms them and its a joy to show them off to everyone (although Millie is a bit over protective of us) Not thats shes agressive its just she bl...y barks at everyone Lol
