Thats your season in a nutshell really.
Hoping the Blades lose because, you are not good enough to go up and not bad enough to go down, so you hope the Blades dont go up...

It'll be the only thing you Wednesday lot have to smile about, unless you get a few more free tickets that is!!!

Yes CB I'm absolutely certain that you were rooting for us at the two Wembley finals and in Cardiff, but of course that's different isn't it?

Just goes to show how much the tide has turned, we used to be jealous of Wednesdays multi million pound signings, league position and Cup Final appearances, now the best you can hope for is a Blades failure.

Of course i want Wednesday to lose every time they're playing but i'd much rather celebrate a Blades win that bother about what our poor relations down the road are doing!!

You're not good enough to go up either, but unfortunately for the Premier League, it looks like you could sneak it.
And of course, you didn't want Wednesday to get relegated this season did you?

In all seriousness, it would be good for united to go up though. Just so we can watch them getting battered again every weekend. :hihi::hihi::hihi:

Earwiggo, surely your confused you say we are not good enough to go up and then we are make your mind up either we are good enough or were not. I am confused, 2 defeats in 18 games, top of the form guide says we are good enough, wheres the stats that says we are not good enough

Lestat

Love your signature, but it really should read what is says and then add and we will do it again sometime in the next 100 years

'Just goes to show how much the tide has turned' Have I missed something, such as SUFC holding onto a Premiership place for longer than one season? Perhaps they gained promotion again, won the Premiership title and slived a European Champion's Cup into their trophy cabinet when we were'nt looking.

All Utd have to brag about is the possibility of promotion, if we Wednesdayites wished to find a team to aspire to their high standards, then SUFC wouldn't even be on the longlist, never mind the shortlist. ;)

And of course we don't want you lot to go up, where would we find 6 such easy points as those we took off you this season?

The tide has well and truly turned, it used to be use jealous of you, now things are very different.

Wednesday would do well to aspire to the likes of Coventry, steady team with not much ambition, Wednesdays hayday is well and truly over.

I'd rather brag about the possibility of promotion than the possibility of our closest rivals failure.

Bit of a joke these days Wednesday aren't they Crooks?

the manager of the month usually results in a bad run of form -many many times that has happened

An obvious choice for the award with the brilliant form the blades have been in .
Not worried about superstition if we are good enough we will go up , end of.

Give me Blackwell over Robson any day of the week, if you fancy a laugh read this;

http://www.goal.com/en/news/9/england/2009/03/31/1184489/bryan-robson-admits-he-would-love-to-manage-manchester-united

The Blades who drove Warnock out are the ones who should be hanging their heads in shame, for me he would have been the perfect choice to get us back up. Instead we've been left with his apprentice!!

scottf

I think warnock had his time at the blades and it was the right moment to leave- yes he was a good manager for the blades and he took us out of the doldrums but sometimes a club/manager NEED a change to move on- and after we got relegated we both needed something new.

jaiden
31-03-2009, 14:59
the award is for results and without them we would not be where we are ,
I hope whoever manages the blades gets it every month.

united had a very good season that year and were very unlucky to go down,it was very entertaining under warnock and it still would be if he hadn't been hounded out.instead we end up with warnocks lackie who decided to leave us for dirty l***ds and then come back declaring his love for the blades.........errrrrr so why did you leave your beloved club for our west yorkshire rivals? git!

I'd have thought Owen Coyle was a cert for this, they've done really well too this month, scored a load of goals and came from 2 down to beat palace 4-2?

EDIT: Blades 6 games 4 wins 2 draws, scoring 13... Burnley 5 games 4 wins 1 draw, scoring 13... plus they lost 3-0 at Arsenal in the cup.

Id say a manager about to lose his job would welcome it, theres a fair few out there these days who do well, who still end up getting the sack.
That was the best story this season, i cant rememeber the club or manager but a club did sack a manager a few months ago when they got a match postponed, shadey or what lol.

What BS. Nobody 'battered' United in the PL - the worst was 4-0 against Liverpool (with the inevitable penalties) and Villa.
Now if you want to talk 'battered' what about the last time (and I mean last time) Wendy were in the top flight. 8-1 at Newcastle, wasn't it? What humiliation.
United got a very respectable 38 points which normally is enough to stay up. That we didn't is down to Wet Sham fiddling (now proved).
Still, the £25.5 m will ensure we remain the region's top club for years to come, while Wendy continue to believe the lies coming out of Swillsborough, Radio Sheffield and the Wednesday Gazette (aka The Stir) about takeovers. Happened yesterday, didn't it?

without wanting to cause a arguement & the west ham affair aside, united threw away there chance of staying up in the last few games they thought they were safe & took it too easy instead of securing there place on there own results

I don't think it was as good as 8-1 mate-more like 8-0.
