Going through a regular routine of "housekeeping" at present, and just run the "normal" cleaner - 5301 temp files, total size over 107,000KB!
In just over 24 hours?!
This can't be OK, can it?

Depends what you've been doing and how complex the pages were you've been viewing. No, it's not that unusual. If you use Firefox (and maybe with IE as well, I don't know) you can set it to clear temporary files whenever you close the browser. Saves a lot of hassle, believe me.

Using SF is pretty good for accumulating temporary files

I do believe you, and yes, you're also correct about there being an auto-removal setting for IE7 as well!
So, many thanks to you for the idea!
You shall go to the ball!
Just remember that the Temporary Internet Files are used to reduce the amount of data you need to download, and to speed up display of pages. If you found the 107MB after 24 hours of normal surfing, chances are you'll be downloading ~107MB every day. By emptying the cache, you will have to download it again, and if you have a capped internet supply, this data will soon add up.

Good point, and well made - certainly an aspect to consider.
I'm on "unlimited"....but we all know what that means!
Thanks, Dosxuk...

Can I take that as an invitation? :)
