A load of us are going to the mangla on friday and one of our party hates indian food but doesn`t want to miss out going. Does anyone know if they do a limited english menu?

I just looked to see iff there was a menu anywhere and this is what someone said, it amused me.

Mangla is really really nice. Chicken Balti is lovely! However no, they dont do english..........But then again I wouldnt expect to go to an Indian restaurant and expect English food.

i agree its really nice but i do prefer the rajput.

Mangla is really really nice. Chicken Balti is lovely! However no, they dont do english..........But then again I wouldnt expect to go to an Indian restaurant and expect English food.I would expect a limited amount of english food. If you go to a chinese there`s always some english food.

Gulshan on the Wicker, the food is better than the Mangla and I think they do some english food.

In answer to your question, no there is no English food.

Have been there tonight and have a menu in front of me now (you can pick one up from the front door of Mangla if you like beforehand).

I'm not too much of a curry fan, but the food there really is tasty, tell your non-curry liking friend to give it a go as it will be the best one he/she will have, plus it's bloody cheap too - especially when you consider that you take your own beer too!

In response to all those who say that you're going to get shot/stabbed/raped/mugged on Spital Hill, then yes I agree it is not the nicest of places to be, but like most places that Sheffield has now become it's not good. But most of the trouble in the area is related to gangs and rivalry between them, if you don't stare, insult or comment on others then people will more than likely ignore you.

I`ve been a couple of times before and the food is always good and cheap. Got to agree it`s not the nicest of areas but like others say, keep your head down and you`ll not get any problems.

it's god awful go somewhere else!
