chem1st 10 #4 Posted April 14, 2009 I might nip along and share some strawberry cider. I'm ambidextrous when it comes to golf and have some left and right handed clubs to test out.
 Share this content via...
Andy C 86 #5 Posted April 16, 2009 Should be a good one, as a local I'll be spending some time there (you will find me around the CAMRA membership stand if not the bar). It's easy to get to as the 76 bus stops right outside (buses 25/25A/53/293/M17 are all nearby too) and it's for a good cause, raising funds for Greenhill Scouts. A nice selection of real ales, and if you drink cider and haven't tried the Woodthorpe Hall Cider, which is made a couple of miles up the road in Holmesfield, it packs a punch! Andy C 86 #7 Posted April 16, 2009 Festival fringe - once you've had enough at the beer festival, why not try the local pubs. Saturday night the Castle Inn has the Frank White Band on, and the Bradway Hotel has a tapas night. If you are doing a daytime session, why not do a bus crawl on the M17. This minibus runs around the area every hour and will drop you outside the following pubs that serve real ale: White Swan, Greenhill; White Hart, Greenhill; Bradway Hotel, Bradway; Castle Inn, Bradway; Old Mother Redcap, Bradway; Devonshire Arms, Dore; Hare & Hounds, Dore. Also walkable from the bus route are the pubs in Totley - Fleur de Lys, Crown and Cricket Inn.
 Share this content via...
