Its the same round here. I live round a park and owners are constantly leaving their dogs mess.

I've reported a few people for doing it and they've had fines

I hate it, I also feel relly bad about it cos I`m sure I`m gonna get blamed.
I always clean Ambers poo up and once on here a member said that there was always crap on our rd and he was sure it was the big German shepherd that lives down the rd that did it:rant:
Being the only GSD on the rd I asked if he thought it was me, havn`t seen him on here since, but I can assure you my dog gets cleaned up after.

And the most annoying thing of all is when you step into somebody else's dog's poop when you go to clear up your own dog's!!

We have had a nice new footpath"greenway" developed through our village. It is nice and tranquil to walk the dogs- however someone appears to be walking some super dog and not clearing up.
Seriously the dog will need step ladders to climb off - it's making the area a mess for the responsible owners.

I'm also a very careful poo picker upper and I get very annoyed at people who don't. The only time that I don't pick up is if we're out in the peak district and she's well away from the path and off in the heather.

I would love to see people fined for letting their dogs poo everywhere without picking up, but unfortunately I don't see most of them or I'd send Molly over with a bag for them.

And why is there always piles of crap around the dog poo bins in the park??
What is their excuse?

I've noticed more poop filled bags in Graves Park on the top part. People just leave them when they can't find more poop bins (even though there was one only fifty yards away)...

Who do we complain to to get more bins?

The poo bags are waving merrily from the bushes in concord park and I notice it is the areas where there are no or few poo bins...more please SCC!
Sometimes it would be easier to just pick up the first pile of poo that you find in there to avoid wading through it to reach your own dogs.

Yuck - that's not what I like to see on trees in the park!

There isn't a link on the Council website to Friends of Concord Park, so maybe they don't exist any more. But if you contacted Parks and Countryside (http://www.sheffield.gov.uk/out--about/parks-woodlands--countryside/parks), they might be able to do something about installing more poop bins.

Is it just council wardens that can issue fine's or can the police and pcso's issue them as well. I don't think they take it seriously enough as you never actually here of many being fined.

Having no bins is still no excuse for not picking up, take it home with you.

Clumber Park (and many other National Trust properties) have a policy of not putting any bins, anywhere. This is to encourage you to take your waste home. It works as well, there is very little dog mess and litter there.

Erm I have to admit that I have been known to do this then pick it up on the way back if I know that I'm not going to be near a poo bin  but I usually put it out of the way until I return then take it home.

I've been in Concord Park this afternoon with my three kids and two dogs. I always carry bags and always clear up after them. I had to keep saying to the kids 'Mind that, Mind this'. If people want to have dogs then they should be responsible and clear up after them.

it's one of my pet hates,as is people who drop litter, the problem is for all those that don't pick it up it gives, all us dog owners a bad name and thats unfair,if people don't want to pick up their dogs poo they shouldn't have a dog or get a pigging gold fish instead:rant:

i always pick up after my dog, took a bit of getting used to as i have a weak stomach where poo is concerned, but if i can manage to do it im sure everyone can,the thing that really gets my goat is when on a sunday my sons assistant manager of the football team as to go around the pitch picking up half a carrier bag full of poo before the kids can go on and play, its a kids football pitch for gods sake, surely they wouldnt want their kids rolling around in the poo and neither do i want mine,so if anyone lets their dog onto steele city football pitches please be considerate ant pick up after your pooch

Get some gloves, pick it up, follow them home and post it through the offenders letterbox. Might make them think twice!

Or just pick it up, call after them and as you get close tell them they left something behind and put it in their hand!
