I am new to sheffield forum and i have read several threads about years gone by. I cannot beleive no one has mentioned the central dance it was so popular in the early sixties.
I have recently met an old friend an old friend and the dance hall was mentioned.
If we got enough people interested maybe we could organise a reunion, how about it. Plz reply if only to talk of the good times.

I was known as BEATLE as i had the hair cut and suit to match, the gang of my friends used to line dance we used to call it the Attercliffe stomp,i wonder if any one remembers a pop group from Liverpool in the early 60's called THE BOYS they were great so much so they were booked as often as possible.

Are you talking about the Ice rink off Attercliffe Common? I used to go there upstairs and danced to groups - thats the only one I know of.
