I currently work in the learning disability sector in Sheffield and believe there is a lack of training on learning disabilties centred around what it feels like to have a disability and how we should work with people who do.
As i have just gained a teaching qualification to work with adults, i was thinking about designing a course that addresses this issue.
is there anyone out there who would be interested in doing such a course? it could be tailored to meet your needs. i.e. a two hour course, an all day course or even more!!
I'm writing this to see who it would appeal to. i am thinking that private companies, carers and family of those with disabilities and people who are interested in helping those who have learning difficulties live independent lives.
any feedback would be greatfully appreciated.
cheers
