I'm about to move to Sheffield from overseas and need some area info. A friend who lives near Sheffield told me the western suburbs are a good place to live. Is this true? I have two teenage children and have been told Tapton school is a nice school with nice kids. Any thoughts? Cheers!

Your friend is spot on. West and south west Sheffield are lovely, with good schools, parks, etc. Tapton is a good school and there are good schools all over this side of the city. Good luck with the move and welcome to Sheffield!

You can check which catchment area a particular property is in (and therefore which school the kids would attend), by checking the council website.
